Hi Everyone!
Well with a baby on the way, it doesn't leave much extra cash for a gourmet kitchen remodel. But for about 3 grand, and tons of hard work (90% on Roy's part, but hey I put the cabinets together) you can get a pretty nice kitchen. We bought the cabinets and sink at IKEA, the appliances at Standard, and all the labor was done all by Roy (his dad helped with some of the demolishing, and mom, Kelsey and I worked on some cabinet stuff)
What do you think?

above: This is our kitchen when we first moved in... it was painted in rooster colors to match the rooster drapes. No Joke.

above: We upgraded the lighting and painted the cabniets white and the walls yellow, then added new hardware. We lived with these cabniets for about a year.

Above: we bought the stove and fridge, but they barely fit in the akward kitchen.

above: Roy and his dad demolish the old kitchen. Luckily for me, pregnancy get's you out of the heavy lifting.

above: more destruction!

Above: Gross... this was what was under the cabinets. I guess they really loved green and brown.

above: The kitchen really took over the rest of our house. It was a mess for three weeks.

above: Roykins gets all the plumbing and electrical updated. Way to go Roy!

above: okay so it isnt perfect...yet, and it certainly isnt clean. But its almost done!

above: Here is the new sink, we still have to do a lot of touch up paint. Never mind the brownie mix.... I love to eat healthy... but Miss Gracie craved brownies.

above: okay so you are wondering, why is there an iron on their stove? Well its complex, but the IKEA directions called for one, enough said. So yes its still messy and lots of touch ups need to be done, but until then, its getting pretty cute!
