The Good the Bad and the Super Ugly

So I told you that the yard was looking better, and that Roy has done lots of work. It's true, but the pictures may tell a different story... it looks a mess... but trust us, it's a big improvement. Look down at the previous yard pictures (you may have to double click a few to see the old deck) and you will see :)

The porch needs painted, but that is a next year project. We took out the giant ugly trees out front, and planted flowers. The house isnt always left out like that.

Yikes, well it looks worse then it is. This is where the stairs will come down, and imagine the flagstone, outdoor furniture and a firepit. Use your imagination.

Things haven't changed much around the house the last few months. The yard is going through a big overhaul though (pictures to come this week!)

These are the pics in the hall... Roy thinks it looks cluttered... but I think we should put more frames and fill it up a bit... who is right? Let me know.

The house is starting to look like a real home. And we are loving it!

Slow Progress

Since we moved in, progress has been a bit slow. Here are how things are looking so far.


I tried to paint the fireplace to lighten it up a bit (see pics below) but I am not sure if it works, any suggestions??

Here is the dinning room. Its really the most put together room in the house.

This is the view of the deck from the dinning room (the door to the deck is off the kitchen). Those plywood walls on the deck are temporary.

Here is the kitchen. Looking the same...but a bit more messy :)

We're All Moved In...Sorta

The outside of the house. It just needs a bit of TLC to be really great.

Here is our dinning room. If you can squint and look past the boxes and clutter, its starting to look pretty cute.

Above is our new lighting fixture! We haven't finished decorating the hutch, but the dishes look great up there, don't they?

Here is the kitchen, we haven't put up the cupboard doors on the top, but they will look like the ones on the bottom. Roy has done a nice job of putting things away. See no more roaster chandelier.

The new fridge and stove. They look kinda funny squished in the corner, but there isnt anywhere else for them to go.

The bathroom...don't even get me started. It needs love, lots o' love.

The TV room. Its a bit of a mess, but its kind of our hang out. Don't you love our sheet curtains?

Our bedroom, and the sheet curtains...just for your own piece of mind, that isnt our normal bedspread. The good duvet was in the wash :)

Most people have a nice living room set, we have boxes and a welding mask. Don't ask.
